By Collin Warren

Annie, can I climb into your car?
Will you take me outta here?
I'll get you half a tank of gas
And a bottle of beer

It's been a long day
In a long year
Let's shoot into those hills
And we'll disappear

Up on Skyline
Far away above the city

And we'll roll all the windows down
Turn the heat up all the way
Put on that song you were showing me
the other day

And you can tell me all your secrets
And I'll laugh at all your jokes
Up here there's a little place
And they always sell me smokes

Up on Skyline
Far away above the city

And I know one of these days
You're gonna have to leave
And I know one of these days
I'm gonna have to stay

You know I loved you even as a child
I memorized your face
Kept track of every little change
That's ever taken place

And I always keep it with me
No matter where I go
There's always a part of me left behind up here
I hope you know

Up on Skyline
Far away above the city
